(Haw.) C.A. Smith)
Section: 1 Adromischus

DISTRIBUTION
Vredendal to Table Mountain to Greyton.

Flat leaves on stout stems, with or without red spots.

More variable in size than A. alstonii, with nice

justify its separation.
Bryan
Makin wrote article about searching for this species on the Cape
Peninsula, which is reproduced here from The
Cactulent 1960.
This is the type species for the genus
Adromischus and is typified by the engraving "Cotyledon Capensis, folio semiglobato" (.pdf file, slow to load, t.95, fig.111,
second un-numbered page, between text on pp.112-113) in J.J. Dillenius'
Hortus Elthamensis from the 1732 Edition.
